*Please don’t read if you have not already read Metamorphosis.*
This series is going to be the death of me! Once again, Ambrosia had my stomach in knots and my heart rate in overdrive. Then, out of nowhere something would happen and make my heart come to a screeching halt. There was absolutely no way that I could put this one down. And then the ending. Why, Ms. Noelle, are you doing this to me? Now, I have to anxiously wait for Euphoria.
Ambrosia picks up right where Metamorphosis ended. Scarlett has returned and made her choice. Even though she has overwhelming feelings for Ash, she feels that her love for Mason makes more sense. Ash just made too many mistakes and Mason has always been there for her, making her feel like the most important thing in the world. But, losing Scarlett has made Ash rethink how he has treated her and is determined to get her back. But, Mason does not intend on giving Ash a chance to work his magic on Scarlett. Unfortunately, a lot has happened for Mason in the past eight months and it threatens to ruin everything that he is working so hard to keep together.
Eight months has seen a lot of changes for everyone. Scarlett is finally learning how to deal with Evie’s death and the events that happened right before she left town. But, that is not to say she is perfect. These tragedies are not something you can just get over. Scarlett continues to struggle to make good decisions in the midst of the many emotions that she still feels.
Good decisions are not something Scarlett does well. OMG, she nearly had me stroking out with some of her mistakes. These, along with some very big misunderstandings, threaten to ruin everything for her and Mason.
I will have to say that I was Team Mason all the way in Metamorphosis. And while I still LOVE Mason, Ash did a great job in this one at making up for his mistakes. I often question in books like this, how could she love both of them? But I totally get it in this series because I can’t make a decision myself on who I want her to end up with. To tell you the truth, if she doesn’t get her act together, she won’t deserve either one of them.
Another cliffhanger that is going to haunt me until the next book comes out. I absolutely love Ambrosia, but I need some closure. Erin Noelle has a way of making me think my suspicions on who Scarlett will choose are correct and wrong all at the same time. All I know is, I NEED TO KNOW! I definitely recommend this angsty series.
