A.L. Jackson gives you an intimate look into the lives of a family bound by an unseen connection in this new contemporary romance.
AMAZING…the first thing that comes to mind after finishing A.L. Jackson’s When We Collide. I read Mrs. Jackson’s other two books, Pulled and Take This Regret this summer and love doesn’t adequately describe my feelings for these two books. So, after reading both, I immediately began researching when I could get my hands on more of A.L. Jackson’s books. With that said, I have been pining for the release of When We Collide for months now! And all of the waiting was completely worth it with this emotional and captivating 5 star love story.
As soon as William laid eyes on Maggie, he felt an instant connection. The two quickly fell in love and spent a summer falling deeper into one another.
Unfortunately, Maggie comes from a life that just won’t let her go. Growing up with an abusive father, she has now found herself in an abusive relationship. Feeling the hold of the only thing she knows, Maggie finds it hard to completely give herself to William. But after finally agreeing to be with him, something happens to change everything. Unable to overcome the unknown forces that are acting on Maggie, William abandons everything and runs as far as he can.
Now it is six years later and life has found a way to bring William back to the place that he found and lost love. Emotions start to run wild for both William and Maggie as they encounter one another. So much time has passed but so many questions still linger unanswered.
William and Maggie are both tortured souls. Getting to see both perspectives really allows you to connect with each character and feel each emotion along with them. They love one another so much but their love seems to have so many obstacles.
A.L. Jackson possesses a unique skill of capturing the reader and taking them on a journey with her characters. This is exactly how I feel with When We Collide. I experienced all of the emotions right along side with William and Maggie and have come out on the other side feeling fulfilled. The ending was absolutely perfect and much needed after the heart racing induced events leading up to it.
I really can’t say enough about When We Collide. However, I do not want to ruin anything for anyone. So, I will just say read it and enjoy!
